Real estate is essentially a local commodity that will rise and fall in long-term value based on what goes on in that very local market. – Jack Cummings
Many famous people have made statements that real estate investments always appreciate, as long as you wait long enough. I agree with this in a broad sense, but real estate markets rise and fall on the local level. Whether there is a large successful employer in your town, or a factory has shut down or if there is a major oil spill right outside your home like what happened in the Gulf Coast of the United States – these factors all affect market value.
While I could sit here and pontificate about all the factors that COULD affect your home town, the reality is an experienced local REALTOR® would be a much better source than I ever could be. You see, I’m not trying to sell you a home, I’m not even trying to sell you a REALTOR® – I just want you to connect with someone who knows their stuff and will put you first!
